Okay, I was a huge fan of X-Files while it was on T.V. I bought the whole series on DVD and hosted an X-Files Marathon on Thursday in preparation for the film. Then, at 12:01am, the opening notes sent a chill down my spine. Then I had a conflict. My expectations were one thing and what happened on the screen was something else. I left with mixed feelings. It was great to see Mulder and Scully again, like old friends I hadn't seen in ages! On the other hand, the movie wasn't what I had in mind. I had to see it a second time to really appreciate it! Chris Carter said they made a "Monster of the Week". However, I still was wanting the Mythology! On the second viewing, I just watched it for what it was ... "The X-Files". It was AWESOME!!!! True fans, drop your expectations and all the ideas you have in your head!!! Just go for a ride with Mulder and Scully and see where it takes you! You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!! Boy I hope they make another movie!!!! Preferably before 2012 (The obvious time to really hit us with a movie based on the Mythology!)!!!!
