You do realize that if Plano were to exit DART, they'd lose the bus service, too, don't you? DART includes buses as well as light rail.

Well then the percentage of my rent that goes towards property taxes should also be excluded from my income. Wish me luck in getting that one past the IRS.

Back in my Sr. year of HS, our girls team beat another team by a score of 105-3. The other team made all of their points on free throws. The next day, their district disbanded their varsity team and only played JV games. Our team said that it would have been an insult to the other team to ease up, yet at the same time, they felt it wasn't very good sportsmanship to run up the score. The only time they actually started to run up the score was when they realized they had a chance to break 100 points, which was something our boys team hadn't done. No one was fired for it, either.

When did athletics switch from being extracurricular to being an elective?

It seems to me that if any athletic program cuts players from the team, it should extracurricular. If anyone who signs up gets to participate, then I'm fine with it being an elective.

Unless he was speeding. With the brick pavement & Trolley tracks, the road can be rather slick there. If he was speeding, he could very easily have lost control of his car.

Thing is, the "so-called spandex crowd" would have no interest in using them.

My wife offered to set up an informational blog for them over two years ago at no charge to them, they said they'd get back with her and never did.

My wife and I drove around Belt Line Road about 5 years ago (when gas was cheaper). It made for a good way to spend an afternoon.

On the northbound Red Line train I rode Sunday morning, a DART cop walked through and checked everyone's tickets/passes. No one got a ticket for not paying, as far as I could tell. I've also seen them come through before. Not every time, of course, but frequently enough that it's not worth the risk, in my opinion. Besides that, it's a cheap ride.

I can't stand watching NBC5's news. Especially when David Finfrock is doing weather. He seems to have difficulty communicating the report, it's painful to watch.

The last time my wife and I went to Macaroni Grill, we sat at our table for 15 minutes, and not one staff member stopped to ask if we would like to order a drink or anything. The last straw was when a waiter made eye contact with my wife, but kept walking past our table without saying a word.

I called the Guest Services number and have yet to hear back from the manager or anyone else.

So while their food is good, their service has taken a definite turn for the worse.
