It's going to be a long, hard slog. We just replaced an ineffectual, semi-moderate Republican with a bats-in-the-belfry, certifiably loony-toons Teabagger for the federal office of Senator. Sort of like the reporter's question to Mrs. Lincoln, "Aside from that, did you like the play?" If not for Wendy Davis, I would not be aware that Texas even had a Democratic party.
