New product Wednesday, at Dallas-area Whataburgers: Hot Pumpkin Pie
Looks terrible. Fast food joints should only do shakes and similar items if they want to do dessert items at all.
The A1 should be on the menu year round.

15 UNT athletes fail drug test
Coach must have been on to something. Team got clean and they won.

Of course it's not like beat a team that was very good themselves.

UNT students voted to help pay for new stadium
The nature of the average student at a school guides attendance more than anything. If the students don't care, nothing matters. Something tells me most students at UNT don't care about foosball or other sports and new stadiums won't really help that. Sure you could attract a few more high profile opponents with a new stadium so you can have their fans sell it out. And it'll sell out the first year or so because people like new, shiny things, but it'll probably fall back to the way things were. At all those other schools, the students care about sports. Not so much at UNT.
On a side note, the athletics=reputation argument is stupid. Schools with big programs are well known because of extra media coverage of games. Other schools are well known because of the school as an academic institution, which is more important. Obviously the increasing enrollment is because of UNT as a place of learning because they have a good reputation in certain fields. Succeeding in sports certainly gets you exposure, but a school can have a very solid rep where it matters regardless of their football team. Ivy League anyone?
Students pick schools because of the school, and if they don't care about sports, then their money shouldn't be spent on them. Ultimately, it's their own fault for not voting.

UPDATED: Gray-haired Southlake vigilante on a Hummer-keying rampage
I applaud this old man and his odd ways. No one will want to drive their SUV if it's scratched. Especially high school kids who have no reason to be driving a Hummer in the first place.
Or, this guys got a kickback deal from local paint and body shops.

UPDATE: Bus crashes near Dallas Zoo
Uh, why not shift to neutral and coast. Or just kill the engine, flip the hazard lights and wait for the cavalry. Rather jack up the transmission than try to steer an out of control bus on the service road of all places.

Frisco subdivision's HOA goes medieval over trucks parked in driveways
What if he got an Escalade front-end conversion kit for his F-150? Or just the badges from one? What kind of idiot lives in Texas and tries to keep pick-up trucks out of the neighborhoods. And freaking LOL at the Honda Ridgeline being ok to park.

Dallas Stars sign forward Sean Avery to 4 year, $15.5 million contract
And he's got no class off the ice either. He gave an interview during the Rangers game last night, and came off as kind of a jerk. Right as he came on, there was a collision at home between Pudge and Murphy(I think). This was a good solid collision, knocked Pudge out of the game. Anyway, he sat there and called them soft and that he takes harder hits during warm-ups and made other jerk like comments. But I guess that's what you'd expect from an enforcer. But I can't fault him for openly expressing his desire to be interview by Erin Andrews.

North Texas Tollway Authority increases speed limit at toll-booths for vehicles with toll-tags
I've noticed the posted limit is 45 at the booths, but never seen form of law enforcement there to, uh, enforce it. Come to think of it, I've hardly ever seen any police officers on the toll roads. Well, on the DNT anyway. Saw several traps on the Bushway back when I used it to commute to work.

Texas will kill Honduran citizen Thursday for Arlington murder
You're in their country, you're subject to their rules. Know them before you get there. Texas has one rule; You kill us, we will kill you back.
You can't have people going to foreign countries and committing crimes and get away with it just because they're a citizen somewhere else. Otherwise you might have travel packages that include "violence against the locals."

In which we blaze our way into the 19th century
Congrats on the phones. Sure it will be a nice addition. Beats my offices system of customers calling in, then having the secretary run around trying to find the person the customer wants to talk to. Plus our office is a maze and we hide when the phone rings.

Possible pot farm found at Dallas' Wilmer-Hutchins High School
Exactly, shouldn't a peace officer be able to recognize drugs when they see them? Especially weed. I wonder how much money they waste "testing" plants.

Josh Hamilton's Bunyan-esque feat draws lots of DFW viewers
Watching him hit left me speechless. Was truly amazing to watch him crush home runs with such ease. But, I did have a nagging feeling that it was going to turn out the way it did. Nonetheless, it was spectacular to watch and something baseball needed in the wake of 'roids and such.
Also enjoyed Reilly's rip on atheists.
Didn't enjoy commentators mention of his past cocaine use after his every swing and every swing of every other competitor and during commercials. We got it. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Texas leads the nation in spending on abstinence-only education
Well, we had that problem with Latino teen pregnancy didn't we. This can't be too shocking.
But I agree very much with Mr. Rice. Just talk to your stupid kid, esp when people have issues with what others tell them about this and how they go about it.
And for good measure.

Olympians' secret to success is apparently Botox
I remember hearing awhile back about The Rocket keeping Viagra in his locker. If it's a drug, and it's not outlawed, pretty sure an athlete somewhere has tried it. Although I'm starting to hate calling them 'athletes' when all of them are hopped up on stuff.

UT Dallas hosting chess camp, yes, camp for chess
Pretty sure I remember reading about one guy winning like $100k (or some equally retarded amount) in scholarships/cash monies for dominating the chess boards. That's all I would need to know to send my kid to chess camp.
That said, I will be painting my face and going to the next chess match to root my alma mater.

Lakewood man plows into car driven by would-be attackers
Watch the 'carjackers' file a claim against him for hitting their car. They hadn't done anything yet, so basically he rammed a parked car or something like that.

Denton man's sticky fingers land him in jail twice
I think they kind of guy who would pay $10k for a lawn mower would eat at Mickey D's. No time for fancy food when there's mowers to pimp out.
