The Alligator Cafe
I sure like the place. Good chow. Arguably, the best fried shrimp in Dallas. Hash Brown doing acoustic blues for bonus points on this round.

Bryan Street Tavern
I sure enjoyed their pizza.
Good off-street parking lot.

Ginger Thai Cuisine
This place is geared for the Lakewood palate. I.e., bland. If it wasn't for the slightly fecal taste of the green chicken curry, this stuff would have no taste at all. As it was, it was the worst green Thai curry I have ever had.
Lame beef noodle dish. Again, mediocrity ruled.
Good steamed dumplings.
Niggardly portion of rice.
When I walked in at 8:30 on Saturday night to get my carry out order, one table was occupied.
This restaurant ain't long for this world.

Lee Harvey's
Last night Lee Harvey's dished me up the best hamburger I've ever had, bar none.
Order it rare and it won't be. It will come out perfect.

Nonna
They have stuff that wouldn't occur to me to construct & cook. For example, a delicate white sausage made of ground scallops and ground shrimp on a bed of broth-soaked cannellini beans.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time listening to your waiter, unless you read Italian well.

Uncle Wok Restaurant
Had a meal delivered to our home. Overcooked, tasteless pork. Overcooked, tough beef. Bland sauces. Watery soup. Soggy eggrolls. We won't make that mistake again!

Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant
Mussels with black bean sauce... a terrific dish with wonderful goo to spoon over your rice. Nice folks. BYOB.
