This is very exciting!! I hope they have some veg options. I'm always looking for an easy meal on the way to the Arts District - Ross and Hall is a perfect location!!!

Padma Lakshmi denies stereotypes in Top Chef Texas
"I live in New York but I can't think of the last time I visited the Statue of Liberty." Well...Padma...I live in Texas and I can't think of the last time I rode a horse, wore a g-d pair of cowboy boots, or wore a f'ing demin dress.

Pho Colonial in North Dallas opens with party and media lunch
Thanks for spreading the pronunciation of pho. Such a huge peave of mine.
For some reason I wouldn't consider anything that Khanh Dao puts out as a waiting to be discovered hole-in-the-wall. Maybe that's just realistic and not romantic. It's not like this is Pho 95.

Restaurant review: b.b.bop Rice Bowls in Dallas and Carrollton
I LOVE b.b.bop! It's one of the very few places where you can get tofu at a quick serve restaurant. The jasmine/house rice is the best!!

Bars and restaurants open in Dallas on Christmas Day 2010
Eight Track Museum will be opening 1-7pm.

Not that there will be food or drink...but it combines nicely with many of the above listed establishments.

Once their food offerings are up to Portland food cart standards - I'll be stalking them. Until then, not so much.

Dallas guerrilla restaurant 48 Nights throws curve ball on next week's chef
This is getting more exciting by the hour...
So...Kelly Hightower is known for totally immersing himself into a culture of food, but he didn't have that hair 10 years ago in the pic spearfishing as pharoahwallace has.
Tim Byres had more of an Asian background from what I remember when he first came to Dallas from NYC. I put my bet on Tim for March 9...although, not sure of his hairdo 10 yrs ago...

Dallas guerrilla restaurant 48 Nights premiered on Monday
Looks like I am not the only one who would be thrilled with a meatless menu. Meatless Monday would make too much sense...and just one Monday all you grumpy meat-eaters; not the entire series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meatless...

Eats has list of places in Dallas to get your burgers ground fresh
What a perfect time to chat about veg burgers!!!!!
Houston's has a good veg burger and the bun lovely as well.
Another surprising good veg burger is at Grand Lux Cafe - mushroom-y and d-lish. Not a frozen processed heap of gluten gobs and soy protein isolates.
But then...every now and then, you need a veg burger and you are desperate - the Goldrush fills that void although I think it's a Morningstar Farms Griller, but tasty as heck and chock full of the above mentioned crap.
Even more desperate times call for the veg burger at Burger King.
Cafe Express had the black bean/plantain burger a long time ago. It was good after you doused it with guac and salsa, but a total mess. Still, I was sad to see it go even though I gained 10 lbs of air everytime I ate it.

Restaurant review: Smoke at Belmont Hotel in Dallas
Nice focusing on the sides. I'd like to know who orders from the vegetarian menu and pays $15 for what amounts to a plate of condiments: Braised fennel, roasted garlic, cider vinegar and Gorgonzola cheese grits.

Dallas Vegan finds nothing to eat at State Fair of Texas
Really? The veg patties from Carribean Foods in the food court always seemed totally vegan. Maybe they use butter? Plus, you can get that veg patty with a salad.
