Healthy cooking school teaches families to make meals in 30 minutes
I agree. I was about to go to the link and sign up and then realized it was on a Tuesday. I guess this is geared to people who don't have to work? Too bad, sounded like a great class.

El Padrino taco stand in Bishop Arts is closing; Lombardi concept will take over
It happens way too often in that area. I hope they find an affordable place to relocate.

Love Adair's. Good cold beer and a really good burger. Also good music and people watching.

Restaurant review part deux: Stackhouse Burgers in Dallas
In my personal opinion, the food wasn't that good when I ate there. Although I didn't see any signs of mac & cheese then. That does look good. However, I wasn't thrilled with the staff either and there are plenty of great burgers with great service. I won't be returning.

In-N-Out in Dallas-Fort Worth: Is the honeymoon over?
Finally went to In-N-Out for the very first time yesterday. It was the absolute WORST burger I've ever had, bar none. I could not believe, after all the hype, how really bad it tasted. I tried several bites thinking maybe it gets better towards the middle but nope it did not. I threw it away.
And why do people move to Dallas and then complain endlessly about it? That drives me insane. You can leave on the same road you came in on. And we wish you would.

UPDATED: Online petition begs ABC to resurrect GCB
First of all, different opinions make the world go 'round, so why put others down who don't think the way you do. That's like most of the 'go to church every time the door opens' people I've come across. Which is maybe who the fanbase of this show is. Comparing GCB to Designing Women is ludicrous...the acting, the writing. I've been in Dallas since 1985 and I've NEVER met anyone resembling these characters. And I couldn't be happier about that. Shows people like go off air all the time. Usually it's because networks move them around and you never know when to find them. GCB was just plain awful. And that's just plain my opinion.

Gloria's in Oak Cliff runs afoul of residents, neighboring businesses
"Scumbars"....really? You sound like these places are brothels or something. I sympathize with your situation but to hope that all these business that are bringing revenue and betterment to our neighborhood is just assinine in my opinion. Do you want all the new stores to leave too? And the Mom & Pop operations that are benefitting from more people shopping locally? I guess you never enjoy a beer or margarita with your meals?

Lisa Garza draws from Southern heritage for Sissy's on Henderson
The menu looks good but if the recent article you posted is true, I won't be going for this reason only. There are plenty of other good places money can be spent at and customers can support that don't treat people this way.

Catfish Blues (Closed)
I don't know where to start with this place, the live music or the food! Live blues every Friday and Saturday night. This place is usually hoppin' so with some acts you might want to call ahead and reserve a table. There will be someone to direct you where to park so no worries there. The food is delicious. The fried catfish and crab cakes are the best I've ever had and I'm from the South - I know my fried catfish! The sauce on the side is to die for. Those are just my personal favorites...everything I've tried I've loved. The mood here is comfy and the lighting great...order some great food, a cold beer and enjoy some live blues. Doesn't get much better than that!

This should go without saying, but by far the best location, much better atmosphere than lower Greenville or Lemmon Ave.

Vote: Name the best burger in DFW
My new favorite is the green chili cheese burger on a jalapeno bun at Chimy's in Fort Worth. It's the best this side of Mannie's in San Anto
