Colleen- I'm not a fan of the guy by any means, but what gives you or 'the lgbt folks' the right to tell anyone where they should or should not go to church?
I agree all church-is politics, but does anyone tell you where to go?

Those of you who have been friends of Pearl for a while might remember a phenomenal local player that performed at our grand opening! Kirby Kelley was just crowned Guitar Center's "2009 King of the Blues" !! Congratulations Kirby!!
Damn, we'll never be able to afford to book him again now! :-)

DC- the problem with another park is that it will do nothing for retail business in downtown Dallas. You know, that 'revitalizing' thing they like to talk about.
In the long run parks won't do anything for downtown but give the street-folk a nice place to stay.
With a population that is so spread out over many sq miles, parks won't attract people to the area- shopping, clubs, and restaurants will. People don't spend bucks in Uptown because of the parks in the area.
A much better use of the money spent on this park or the one on Main St. might have been tax breaks or other incentives to enable small retail businesses to set up shop downtown.
But what do I know? -

I'm all for equality across the board, but c'mon. How far is the rest of the world expected to bend over to accept gays in society? Yes, I meant to say it that way.
It would seem to me that just being gay might be stressful enough in this up-tight society, but to try to be religious too? Talk about a pain in the ass!

Dallas loves to shop! Bring more retail downtown and keep more revenue downtown.
Free meter parking on the weekends would help considering the unethical business practices of many commercial lots.
Many of the article's suggestions are taken from European spots. Sorry- this is Dallas. Dallas will never be Paris. Walking hand-in-hand with your date on any downtown Dallas street is not romantic.

This is too funny- I might have kept my kids from listening to G.W., but that would be because I would want them to learn proper English.
