twslv, Mason Bar does still have dinner, though it's not available downstairs in Hi/Lo unless it's been set up through a private event. The chef at Mason Bar is Cable Smith, who serves Southern-inspired cuisine.

Penguin Dueling Piano Bar in Uptown Dallas closed, will become Concrete Cowboy
The Penguin's first bar opened in Columbia, Missouri while I was going to college there. It was a huge hit with the college crowd, and when I went back to Columbia about a month ago and re-visited The Penguin on a Saturday night, it was still crowded and just as fun as I'd remembered.
I was happy to see Dallas get their own branch, but the few times I went, it was never the same excitement I remembered from the Missouri bar. Perhaps the problem was that I wasn't in college anymore, but it was also just never very crowded and didn't seem like a destination spot. I'm hosting a bachelorette party in Dallas in a few weeks, and the bride requested a piano bar, but (even before I knew it was closed) I didn't recommend Dallas' Penguin. There seemed to be something missing.

Egorsti, I absolutely agree with you about the audience yelling. After they express their love, the judge always coyly says, "I love you too" to the random audience member, interrupting his or her train of thought. It drives me nuts.
About the mispronouncing words, might you be referring to Lindsey Paveo?

Here's the full comment from the city:
"Attendance numbers for the current exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum appear to be within the facility’s ability to manage parking flow with existing on-site parking and existing overflow parking options. However, parking challenges at the Arboretum and at White Rock Lake still exist and long term solutions will be addressed as both locations increase in popularity. For the time being, the temporary parking option at Winfrey Point will not be exercised. The City will continue to seek long term solutions that will balance increasing trail use, special events, and all recreational uses with adequate traffic management and parking options."
