lollll, tried searching for something related but didn't see anything immediately - just posted an outburst linking to Reuters article on the whole ordeal.
Personally, I think it would be suicide - even if regulators decided not to step in. Apparently freedom of the press only goes to the highest bidder? Do you really think people will stand for that?

I just realized that links in comments are styled to look just like text, which might cause some people to miss out on my hilarity.
I concur, something must be done about this posthaste!

So it's definitely kaput after end of this month when their lease is up? Per their site's Upcoming Events section it's still up for sale, presume they couldn't make a come-back.

Damn, wish I hadn't missed this.
Sincerely hope you have another when Badfish rolls through the HoB Miko. =p Still haven't repaired my torn shirt from their last appearance, saving $20 would certainly motivate a guy (and if it got torn again I probably would have to accept fate).

IT'S DIFFERENT
Sorry, been ridiculously busy past couple of weeks. I did poke my head in yesterday randomly and caught the new design. Mixed feelings, mostly b/c I'm simply not used to it - I'm sure after I get acclimated it'll be much preferred. =)
Apparently I was the 1st featured user? Many thanks if so! I saw it and honestly just thought it was one of the bugs. =p DaGo just mentioned it in an IM so I guess not.

(And no, I don't know why this got me all silly with alliteration.)
Good lol though, thanks Miko.
As someone who can't stand reality shows, I read this whole damn thing solely b/c of it. I severely doubt they'll get this inked, tbh - I'd like to think other young professionals share my distaste for reality TV. =p

High cost of living is self-inflicted in an attempt to keep pace with the HP Joneses. Labeling yourselves as a "bubble" says plenty. Not sure why anybody would feel this article is necessary.

Pretty sure I'd be incredibly offended by these articles and the hubbub if I were black (one of the few times I actually endorse playing the race card).
She dressed up as a rapper. Who is black. Unless you're incredibly racist, why do you care?
This dude said it well:
Now why the Cowboys are upset about this is unreal to me. I mean, it was a Halloween party, the outfit wasn’t racist, and she was on her own time. Sure, she probably needs to make sure that cameras are not following her 24 hours a day, but at the same time, what the heck did she do wrong?

Well, freedom of the press is between...the press and the gubmint, really. That point was more from a price-fixing perspective if regulators stand by while publishers form a cartel (of sorts). It's a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction simply b/c they got their asses handed to them in the free market.
