First, you don't need roosters to get hens to lay eggs - only to raise chickens & that shouldn't be in a residential area. It's not right to force homeowners on 50' wide lots to listen to these screaming barnyard animals all day, some starting at 2 am & going until dusk. Ft Worth's own ordinance says an animal cannot make loud noises longer than 10 mins & nothing over 70 dB in residintial areas - they hit 85 dB easy. Who can shut a rooster up? Plus, it degrades property values & their dried poop can carry diseases humans can catch. Go buy a plot in the country !
