St. Patrick's day is not nor has it ever been a celebration about "family". It's about celebrating Irish heritage and strangely enough Whiskey and Beer are a part of that go figure. It also depends on what part of Ireland you're from whether you condone such things and personal morals as well. I HOWEVER do not think that this stupid concert with "Snoop Dogg" is Irish related at all. Why couldn't they bring in an Irish folk or puink band instead? I don't want to listen to rap while I'm celebrating my favorite IRISH holiday which is why I won't be attending the concert. Dallas has always been a sketchy place in the lower greenville avenue area but it has come A LONG WAY from how bad it used to be even now. The area is perfect for the parade with the space that it accomodates. Get over the whole drinking part because if it's st. patrick's day and there's a bar open, you're going to have people drinking. It's part of tradition. However getting tanked is not necessary, but to each their own. I hope they all invest in cab money for the holiday.
