The Colony will house the world's largest home furnishings store
Jason,
Point well made, although I have attended city council meetings. I own two homes in Dallas, living alternatively in both. I am a concerned and involved citizen, with a sizable vested interest in the well-being of our beloved city. In the end, there are any number of reasons and excuses; however, Dallas continues to be a second tier city and I have seen nothing in the "urban plan", and more importantly, Dallas' will and energy behind it, which suggests meaningful change within our lifetimes. Given your alternative view, though, I do appreciate your insights and perhaps more importantly, that we live in a place where we can freely voice these seemingly opposing views. Peace.

Just another painful example of why Dallas will never be a successful urban center. Lack of adequate transportation options coupled with what appears to be no urban plan suggests Dallas will continue to be a "second tier" city.
