UPDATEDx2: Missing Plano mom Janice Klein found at DFW Airport
fascinating that she was found at the airport. she seems to be part of a strongly religious community, at least if you go by the comments on the Facebook page

ashratemp, thanks for your comment and the link. spokesman Matt Kremzar said that the Lubbock-area Taco Villas were owned by a friend of Bobby Cox's and that, while they are not identical, they are similar. appreciate you clarifying it here

Jason Rice, it makes life kinda hard for us opinionated females though. when i worked at the DMN in their heyday, they had about a dozen male critics in the arts department and ... one female. and nobody was killing any damn spiders

James Scott, thanks for your comment - i think some people have more trouble with women voicing their opinions than men. as a pretty good point of comparison, we have another new content partner, The Glut Life, whose approach is similarly offbeat and yet he hasn't spawned any of the venom that Ashli has provoked. interesting that nobody is calling him a stripper or accusing him of fluff:

i'm a fan of Ashli's writing. it's so hard to stand out in the world of restaurant reviews - they all sound the same - but Ashli's are unique. she adds a lot of color and personality, and i find her to be very funny.
but if i didn't, i'm not sure i would resort to calling her a stripper. that seems a little mean and kind of sad, 'specially coming from another female

J. C. Penney president Michael Francis steps down
Observer speculates that his firing was related to JCP's recent ad showing a gay couple with their kids - a couple that was local. the ad got a lot of national attention.

production9342, love your comment but i never get why people have such animosity towards Guy Fieri. he doesn't seem to do anything but use his power for good, IE, help local businesses, who all say they benefit like crazy from his attention. (not picking on you - you're not the only one i've seen dis him but you just happen to be the one who posted a comment here.)

Restaurant review: Antoine's in Dallas
Granny, we try to trick you into clicking on the "Antoine's" link to get the address but since you're a regular, we'll cut you a break. it's at 4234 Harry Hines Boulevard
(altho you are certainly free to go ahead and click on Antoine's if you want to see the fancy-dancy map)

TheCoreTheatre, not sure about their ability to take credit cards but obviously you'll be safer if you bring cash.

TheCoreTheatre, the festival is, loosely, at the corner of Main and Crowdus. not sure where you live so it's hard to give directions.
as for parking, if it were me, i would look for a metered spot on the street, either on Commerce or Elm. (be sure to bring quarters since they charge for the meters on weekends.) there are also parking lots in Deep Ellum - not sure what they charge because i always park on the street, but i would guesstimate $5

Kirby, i believe you have Trader Joe's confused with the In-N-Out crowd. Trader Joe's fans, while enthusiastic, have better manners and are rational

i like their bread too and they're the first market i've shopped at where the organic produce is treated on equal terms with the regular produce. unlike WF, it's not punitively more expensive; and unlike major grocery chains, they don't stick it off in a corner and let it rot

SitizenKane, i had no idea we were both Sunflower customers. how do you feel about the impending Sprouts takeover? the staff reassures that nothing will change, but my visits to Sprouts have been far inferior to my experience at Sunflower which i love

Joel, that is nuts! maybe the population is dense enough over there to sustain it? also, i'm thinking that maybe WF and TJ's are destination stores that draw people from outside the area, and the other two markets are for closer-in neighbors?
where do you shop
