The Biggest Loser week 8: Tracey takes the long way home
Alex with all due respect many of us do find D.C. to be very exciting. I have never been to Bora Bora so cant speak to its excitement factor but if that's what turns you on then more power to ya. And having the opportunity to visit the White House with its kitchen has a really high cool factor with it.

Plea to truck burglar: Return Burleson kid's custom gun
I hope this story was not done to blame the dad for the shotguns disappearing. Or that you were taking a slam for the event this young man was participating in.
I would rather support this kid then the nasty trash that plays football, baseball, hocky and basketball at a professional level. -

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan protesting outside George Bush's Dallas home Monday afternoon
Jt if your not interested in holding Bush accountable for his criminal behavor then that is on you. Cindy Sheehan is not lazy like you are and is not giving up. As for people not playing with a full deck, well that would be anyone who ever supported the Bush empire.

They are protesting the fact that Bush is a war criminal that has so far not been arrested for his activities.

Not returning DVDs on time in Wylie will get you arrested
Wow, so as long as your just stealing small stuff it is ok?
Theft is theft and if you want to keep the dvd's go to the friggin store and buy them. If your too irresponsible to return the things then stay away from something your not adult enough to handle. If you enjoy paying higher prices for stolen merchandise then feel free to let the clerk know so they can tack on an extra percentage to your purchases. Those if us who are tired of it can pay the lower prices.

Atheist billboards to go up in Dallas, Fort Worth
Lisa with all due respect if you need a specific faith to live a good life wouldnt that make people of faith the weak ones? And if your such a person of faith how is it that according to your own words that you do not do a better job of leading a better christian life? If the vast majority of self-proclaimed Christians would do a better job of living their religion then telling others what to do then you might have a valid argument.

Defendants in Holy Land Muslim charity trial in Dallas found guilty on all counts
There is no shortage of christians in this area that hate muslim, so it isnt too hard for prosecutors to find enough to convict muslim of whatever the govt wants to get them for.

Lifeway Christian Stores pulling "girly" magazine from shelves
Pavel Lishin Verified "(believers and sinners alike)"
Shouldn't that be "believers and heathens alike"?
No it should not be. Contrary to what Christains have falsly advertised Heathenism is a religion, it is a Pagan religion that does have a belief in a higher power. As do all Pagan paths. Christianity is a poor source of information when it comes to other paths.

Scientist publishes "new" JFK theory, wackos come out to play
It is typical of mainstream to label people as whackos when they present an idea that maybe we have been lied to. So much easier to be spoonfed what the govt tells us then to actually think that maybe, just maybe we have been suckered. But then again the American public is not too keen on thinking past what to order for dinner, who to call for a good nanny reference or how many chinese made designer labels we can stuff our closets with. I dont know if the conspiracies are true or not but then most of us dont. But to think that our govt or big corporation CEO's are not capable of these things is a bit naive.
The problem with mainstream is they dont care. No one wants to get involved with messy thinking if it takes them away from their next trip to the mall or walmart. -

Dallas should rename Ross Avenue for Cesar Chavez
I have never understood how anyone could think that they are honoring someone by placing their name on a street. How many of you have really ever wondered about the history of the names on the streets you travel on?
Dallas has a freeway with the initials LBJ on it, how many of get fond memories of Lyndon Baines Johnson when your on that freeway and how many of you take his name in vain. I think there are much better ways to honor Chavez and Momzilla has already offered up one.
I want to add another idea, that is to name the Dallas Farmers Market after Chavez. I cannot think of another place where his name could be connected with what he was about. Not only could the Dallas Farmers Market be named after Chavez but some of the buildings could be retooled to tell his life, add educational programs about farming and not only children but for adults as well. There is so much that could be done at the farmers market that could both honor Chavez and teach the Suburbs about the farming culture and how their food made its way to their table.

Bible study not a big draw at Tarrant County high schools
Hey snowboard9, I totally agree with you. The addition of the bible courses were an obvious attempt to push one religion over others.
It is really scary how the bible thumpers will slither around trying to proclaim that they are not endorsing one religion over others when clearly they are. -

Pugs and Kelly take 2 - 6 PM slot on 93.3 The Bone
I really cant think of a single reason to miss the pugs and kelly show. I listened once to their show and noticed that Pugs feels his opinions about mental illness can and should be used to replace medical facts. Pugs needs to tone down his ego and get that his time behind a micrphone does not make him an expert on the topics he discusses.

Hundreds of Seagoville students suspended for wearing the wrong belt
Maybe Seagoville is trying to teach the kids how to follow rules, even the ones they do not like. Or maybe learning a bit of reading comprehension. Apparently their parents have not done so if half the school had to go home from not paying attention to the school code.

Dallas Police Department couple living in Lancaster needs help to get on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition
Not all of the EHM families have had problems, some will but not all. Many of them have had their mortgages paid off and other financial help. The family that recently had their home taken away had no one to blame but themselves.

Richardson-based Network of Community Ministries fighting to survive
umm you know the christian ministries is not the only religion doing charity work, many others are doing so as well. But you wouldnt know it for the slanted reporting going on with all of the local media outlets. I dont doubt this org isnt doing good, but so are others. Get outside your comfort zone and give a little well earned press to the rest of us.

Probably because the Cowboys had their training camp in Thousand Oaks for such a long time.
